XFINITY BILL Β· 2026 NEGOTIATION PLAYBOOK
The retention phone number, the magic words that route you to the save desk, the script that opens the call, the offers you can ask for, and the comebacks when the rep pushes back. Community-tested. No signup.
Press 0 repeatedly until you reach a person, then say 'cancel service'
"Hi, I need to cancel my Xfinity service. My monthly bill has gone from $X to $Y over the last [time], and I've been comparing prices with other providers in my area."
Be polite. Always. Reps with discretionary authority give MORE to nice customers, not less. Acknowledge the rep is doing their job β make it clear it's the company's pricing that's the problem, not them personally.
These are offers community members typically report seeing from Xfinity. Not a guarantee β your offer depends on tenure, location, rep authority, and the time of month. Ask for the highest one and work down.
"I can't offer you that β those promos are for new customers only."
"I understand. I'd rather not switch carriers, but the bill is unsustainable. What CAN you offer to keep me?"
"Your current bill is the best rate we can offer."
"Then I need to start the cancellation process. Please transfer me to your retention department."
"If you cancel, you'll lose all your services right away."
"I'd like to keep services until the end of my billing cycle. What's my final disconnect date?"
Xfinity Internet is typically month-to-month with no ETF. TV + Internet bundles may have a 1-year contract β check your contract details. Equipment must be returned within 30 days or full retail price is billed.
