Quantum Fiber (CenturyLink / Lumen) — Honest 2026 Review
Quantum Fiber is the consumer-facing brand for Lumen Technologies (parent of CenturyLink) in markets where they've overbuilt fiber. Symmetric XGS-PON across ~16 states with active expansion. The critical distinction: CenturyLink legacy DSL still exists under the same brand at many of the same addresses. Make sure you're being offered Quantum Fiber and not CenturyLink DSL before signing up — they're completely different products.

Rick's installer take
Quantum Fiber at $75 for symmetric gig matches AT&T Fiber's spec at $15/mo less. The big caveat is footprint — they only overbuilt fiber in select markets. Most CenturyLink ZIPs are still DSL. If your address gets Quantum Fiber specifically, take it.
