Osage Nation Oklahoma — Tribally-Owned Fiber Build Across the Reservation

Osage Nation Communications is the tribally-owned telecommunications arm of the Osage Nation, serving residents across the ~2,300-square-mile reservation in northeast Oklahoma (Osage County). BEAD funding accelerates a fiber build that the Nation had already been pursuing through earlier ReConnect + Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program grants. Tribal-owned operators get strong installer ratings from us because the operator IS the community — they're embedded permanently, not flipping for an exit.

The short version

Rick's installer take

Tribally-owned operators are the most stable BEAD recipients. They're not going to be sold, the Nation IS the operator. Decisions stay local. Every BEAD dollar invested goes into permanent reservation infrastructure.
