What's great
- Same QD-OLED panel family as 2026 S90H
- $700 below S90H at street pricing
- 144Hz + full VRR (FreeSync Premium Pro + G-Sync + ALLM)
- 4× HDMI 2.1
- Six sizes: 42/48/55/65/77/83
- Tizen 2025 — still gets 5+ years of updates
What's not
- No Glare-Free coating (S90H added it for 2026)
- 144Hz refresh (vs 165Hz on S90H)
- No Dolby Vision (Samsung-wide limitation)
What's new for 2026
The S90F was Samsung's 2025 mid-OLED — the direct predecessor to the 2026 S90H. Same QD-OLED panel family, same 4× HDMI 2.1, same gaming feature stack. The 2026 upgrades that matter (Glare-Free coating, 165Hz refresh) are real but skippable in normal rooms.
At $1,800-$2,000 street vs $2,500 for the S90H, the S90F saves $700 — enough to add a Sonos Beam Gen 2 to your setup.

Who should buy this TV
Buy if: Budget-conscious OLED shopper · non-direct-sun room · 5-yr buyer (Tizen still updated) · willing to save $700 for skipping Glare-Free coating.
Skip if: Direct-sun room (need 2026 S90H Glare-Free coating).
Rick's final verdict
Rick's verdict: the smartest OLED clearance buy of 2026. Glare-Free coating is the only real reason to step up to the S90H — and only matters in bright rooms. For everyone else, the S90F saves $700.
Final score: 8.7 / 10 — Rick's 2025 Samsung Value Pick.
