What's great

  • Wireless OneConnect Box on ALL sizes (55/65/75/85)
  • Slim Fit No-Gap Mount included in box
  • Mini-LED panel (NOT the standard Frame's QLED)
  • 144Hz + 5× HDMI 2.1 on the OneConnect Box
  • Art Mode + 2,400+ artworks in Art Store
  • First Art Mode on Mini-LED
  • Anti-glare matte screen for art display

What's not

  • $2,000 (65") is premium pricing vs standard Frame ($1,500)
  • Mini-LED isn't OLED (some blooming visible)
  • Art Store subscription ($5/mo) for full art library
  • Bixby is Bixby

What's new for 2026

The Frame Pro 2026 is the only TV designed for fireplace + brick installs. The Wireless OneConnect Box (now on ALL 2026 sizes, not just 43/50 like earlier reports suggested) means NO in-wall HDMI run. The Box sits in your media cabinet up to 30 ft away. The TV only needs power to the wall.

That single feature changes the install math entirely. Brick fireplaces, stone walls, plaster — all the install nightmares get easier. The Slim Fit No-Gap Mount included means the TV sits flush like a picture frame.

The Pro upgrade vs standard Frame: Mini-LED panel (brighter, better contrast), 144Hz refresh, and 5× HDMI 2.1 on the Wireless OneConnect.

Smart TV experience & OS

Tizen 2026. Art Store with 2,400+ pieces ($5/mo subscription for full library, plenty of free art included). Vision AI. AirPlay 2. ATSC 3.0 tuner included. Solar Cell remote.

Picture quality & panel tech

Mini-LED panel (vs standard Frame's QLED). 144Hz refresh. Anti-glare matte coating designed to look like a real painting/photograph in Art Mode. Peak brightness ~1,400 nits (estimated). HDR10+ Adaptive support.

Four sizes: 55, 65, 75, 85.

Gaming performance

5× HDMI 2.1 on the Wireless OneConnect Box (4× plus eARC). 144Hz native + VRR + FreeSync Premium Pro + G-Sync + ALLM. Solid gaming TV despite the lifestyle positioning.

Audio & soundbar pairing

40W 2.0.2 built-in with Object Tracking Sound. Atmos passthrough. Pair with Samsung HW-Q900F soundbar for Q-Symphony or a third-party Atmos system.

Mount & install notes

Slim Fit No-Gap Mount included in box — proprietary mount that sits ~7.5mm from the wall. Wireless OneConnect Box on ALL 2026 sizes — no in-wall HDMI run needed. This is the game-changer for fireplace installs.

The TV Mount Builder routes Frame Pro buyers AROUND the standard mount picker because the included mount is the install. Use TV Mount Builder to plan the rest of the install (Wireless OneConnect Box placement, power routing, etc.).

Who should buy this TV

Buy if: Fireplace install · brick or stone wall · décor matters · you'll use Art Mode · multi-console gamer (5× HDMI 2.1) · "wife approval factor" is high priority.

Skip if: Pure picture-quality buyer (get an OLED) · don't care about Art Mode · standard wall install where regular mounts work fine.

Rick's final verdict

Rick's verdict: if you're installing over a fireplace or any brick/stone wall, the Frame Pro is the only TV that makes the install easy. The Wireless OneConnect on ALL 2026 sizes is genuinely revolutionary — after 28 years of installs, in-wall HDMI through brick is the #1 install nightmare. The Frame Pro eliminates it.

For a regular flat-wall living-room install, an OLED or QM8L gives you better picture for the money. The Frame Pro is for the specific buyer with the specific install need.

Final score: 8.7 / 10 — the only TV designed for fireplace installs.
