Carolina Hurricanes defeat Vegas Golden Knights, 4-2
Conn Smythe: Jordan Staal
Last Hurricanes Cup: 2006
Clinching goalie: Brandon Bussi (3-0 shutout, Game 6)
Series span: June 2 – June 14, 2026

Twenty years and one ownership change later, the Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup champions again. After dropping the series opener in Las Vegas and surviving a Game 3 double-overtime loss at home, the Canes ripped off three straight wins — including a Brandon Bussi 3-0 shutout in Game 6 — to deny the Vegas Golden Knights a second Cup. Jordan Staal hoisted the Conn Smythe Trophy in front of a stunned T-Mobile Arena crowd Saturday night. Defenseman Jaccob Slavin became the first Hurricanes blueliner to lead the team in postseason scoring since the franchise's 2006 Stanley Cup run.
